Maria D. Malaret, 81, died at home on April 17, 2025.  She was born in Cuomo, Puerto Rico on November 23, 1943 to her parents Cecilia and Pablo Davila.

Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a communicant of St. Ann Church, Raritan.  Maria had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary faithfully.  She held a special place in her heart for St. Michael.  Maria was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to dance.

Prior to retirement, Maria worked as a Maternity Assistant for Somerset Family Practice.

Maria is survived by her son Ruben Malaret, daughter Aida Ortiz, grandchildren Michele (Skiles) Saylor, Mary (Antonio) Salgado, Robert Ortiz, Justin Nunez, Andrea Heredia, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers Pablo (Norma)Davila, Angelo (Evely) Davila, George (Patricia) Davila, two sisters Luz Davila, Aida-Iris (Patrick) Paredes.  She was predeceased by her husband Ruben Gonzalez Malaret, daughter Marisol Malaret, grandson Vincent Malaret and her parents.  She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ.  Viewing was private.  Entombment will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, 12 Noon, Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
