Obituary of Kathleen Loretta Grigal

Kathleen Loretta Grigal, age 75, of Manville NJ, died on March 19, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick NJ.  She was born in Hackensack NJ on August 18, 1949, to her late parents Marie (Rucinski) and Dennis Chirico.

Kathleen worked for many years as a secretary at Landscape Maintenance in Hillsborough NJ.  She was a devout Catholic and Communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Manville NJ.  She was a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family.   Kathleen also enjoyed attending a very long list of various country music concerts.  She and her husband for many years also enjoyed their trips to Tennessee for a yearly Tennessee Titans football game and visits to The Grand Ole Opry.

 Most of all Kathleen loved her family.  She was a devoted wife to Frank Daniel Grigal, Jr. for 55 years and a loving mother to her daughter Jennifer Delesky and late son F. Daniel Grigal and wonderful mother-in-law to David Delesky and Melissa Grigal.    She was a dear sister, aunt and friend to many.  

The happiest time of her life was when she became a “Grandma”.  She adored the joys of her life her grandchildren Owen Delesky, Alexander Delesky, Cole Grigal and Camryn Grigal.  

  Kathleen is survived by her husband, Frank Daniel Grigal Jr., daughter Jennifer (David) Delesky, daughter-in-law Melissa Grigal and grandchildren Owen, Alexander, Cole and Camryn.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents and her son, F. Daniel Grigal (2021)

A visitation will take place on Thursday March 27, 2025, between 5:00pm and 8:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue Raritan, NJ 908-725-1887.   Visitation will also take place on Friday March 28, 2025, between 9:00am and 11:00am at Bongiovi Funeral Home followed by a prayer service starting at 11:00am.   Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Millstone River Road, Hillsborough NJ.
