Roman Rodriguez, 68, died on March 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on March 8, 1957, to his parents Cecelia Montes and Juan Rodriguez, in Ponce, Puerto Rico.   He came to the United States in 1968, when he was 11 years old, settling in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Roman was a loving dad who always wanted what was best for his children.  He was a hard worker, a down-to-earth old school guy, and to his friends and colleagues, he was the ultimate jokester.  Roman had a passion for learning, wanted to be well informed and had a keen curious nature.  He was especially interested in older model cars, food and various preparations, he enjoyed nature, and world history.  Roman would spend countless hours watching the Discovery and History Channels to learn all of the cool facts about the world.  He was a beloved employee at the WAWA in Somerset.

Roman is survived by his two beloved children, Christian Rodriguez, Brianna White, loving brother to his brother Wilfredo Rodriguez, sisters Milagros Pizarro, Sandra Rodriguez, dear uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn White, and his parents, sister Lillian Rodriguez, brothers Juan Rodriguez and Osvaldo Rodriguez.

A viewing and service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1 PM – 3 PM, at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908)725-1887. www.bongiovifuneralhomenj.com
