Obituary of Emma von Beidel

BRIDGEWATER- Emma von Beidel, 100, died on April 3, 2020. She was born on November 22, 1919 to the late Bill and Anna Horner in Freehold, NJ. Emma graduated Freehold High School class of 1938. She attended Rider College in 1939. In 1940, she got a job in cost accounting working for the Security Steel Company in Avenel, NJ. During this time, Emma attended many Frank Sinatra & Glen Miller concerts at the Paramount Theater in NYC. On April 1, 1949 she married the love of her life Larry von Beidel. Emma also saw Tony Bennett in 1951 at the Paramount Theater for the first time as he sang as Tony Bennett. She retired from Security Steel Company in 1955 to have a child and become an accomplished house wife and exceptional cook for the rest of her life. Emma loved dogs and cats. She loved growing flowers and grew many fine flower gardens. Emma was a loving wife to her husband Larry for almost 63 years. She passed on her love of music to her son Chris who continues to live this passion to this very day. Emma is survived by her son Chris. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence.
