"RARITAN- Panagis Parameritis known as "Peter or Bumba", 39, passed away on December 28, 2019. He was born on April 4, 1980 in Somerville, NJ to Alexandra and Andreas Parameritis. He grew up in Raritan, NJ and spent a portion of his childhood in Patra, Greece with his favorite YiaYia and Pappou.
He attended Bridgewater-Raritan High School and graduated in 1998. He was best known for cracking jokes, quoting movies, collecting baseball cards/Hess trucks, playing a mean game of spades, and making phenomenal ribs. He enjoyed watching his beloved Rangers and New York sports teams. He most of all loved spending time with his family and playing video games with his brother.
Panagis is survived by his two children Ethan Andreas and Ema Jean, his mother and father, sister Evangelia "Lia" Santangelo and husband Mark, his nephew Fynn Joseph, his brother Alexandros, Uncles and Aunts, Petros and Dina Parameritis, Evangelos Papadimatos and Giota Markopoulou, Renos Papadimatos and Rita Rigas, Constandinos Litopoulos, and cousins Evangelia “Eva” Brenn and husband Cody, and Panagis “Group” Parameritis, Despina Litopoulos and husband Nikolas, George Litopoulos, Alexandros and Niki Papadimatos.
He is predeceased by his aunt Eleni Litopoulos and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Viewing is Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. Funeral Mass 11:00am on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church 85 Voorhees Corner Road, Flemington, NJ followed by Burial at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
