Today I heard of Van's passing...I have a sinking feeling in my heart. My condolences to Margaret,Chris and family. Margaret you were always by his side in the most loving way. Chris I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you all...How lucky he was to have his beautiful family. I'll always remember Van's patience and kindness with my nephew in 7th grade science. My Nephew (Brendon) who is in his 30's still mentions his science teacher fondly...Van was clearly in the field he was meant to be. He clearly loved teaching and just being a positive influence in young lives. What a good man. Van, I'll miss your kind and patient presence in our office...even when you were clearly struggling but now you're with our father in heaven and in perfect form. We will miss you Van. Rest and be well... May we meet again
