Vincent DeStefano Jr.
Vincent DeStefano Jr., 83, of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Somerville, New Jersey, Vincent was the beloved son of the late Arline and Vincent DeStefano Sr.
Vincent began his career working alongside his father at Packards Markets, where they worked together for many years. He later became the proud owner and operator of Arvin Produce and Garden Center in Whitehouse, where he was well known for his hard work, friendly smile, and dedication to serving the community.
Above all else, Vincent was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished Pop Pop and Big Pop Pop, and a loyal friend. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He had a lifelong passion for horse racing and especially enjoyed owning and caring for his own racehorse. Nothing brought him greater joy than gathering with his family for Sunday dinners, holidays, and special celebrations, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Jean Mc Glynn and late son in law Eddie; his brother, Richard DeStefano; and three sisters, Debbie Bailey, Joan Lella, and Phyllis Huenke.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Esther M. DeStefano; two loving daughters, Dawn and husband Thomas Graner, and Missy and husband Rich Simoncelli; his dear son, Jimmy DeStefano and partner Susan Hall; one dearest brother, Gregory DeStefano; two dearest sisters, Patty Wellinsky and Terry Rought; eleven cherished grandchildren, Bri, RJ, Austin, Dylan, Ash, Amy, Jessica, Alyssa, Justin, Eddie, and Melissa; ten adored great-grandchildren, Little Walt, Zay, Harmony, Esther, Jersey, Ezra, Jaxson, Jaylen, Bryce, Maiyah
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869.
Interment will immediately follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
