In Loving Memory of Francis (Frank) Xavier Gilmore

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Gilmore on July 17, 2026 at the age of 91.  He was a graduate of Somerville High School and owned his own business, Frank Gilmore Roofing and Siding, for many years.

Born on April 15, 1935 in Roselle, New Jersey, Frank lived a life marked by kindness and devotion to family and friends. Throughout the years, he touched countless lives with his warm smile, kind heart, and friendly personality with the ability to make friends wherever he went.

He was a loving husband and parent, cherished grandparent and great-grandparent. He was a loyal friend and built many lifelong friendships. Family was always at the center of his life, and he found great joy in celebrating milestones, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories with those he loved.

He enjoyed woodworking, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, socializing and was known for his sense of humor and ability to tell great stories. His hardworking, resilient, and adventurous character will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The memories we share with family and friends will remain in our hearts forever.

Frank is survived by his loving sister Sue Girtanner, children Michael Gilmore, Jean Kaepernik, David (Dolores) Gilmore, Diane (Daryl) Flederbach, and Nancy (Kish) Vaidya. He also leaves behind thirteen cherished grandchildren Russ Bazydlo, Jason Pick, Keri Fry, Ryan Gilmore, Roxanne Ray, Becca Fantano, Shannon Gilmore, Greg Loper, Daniel Toth, Cody Gilmore, Caity Neri, Monica Grace, and Dylan Vaidya and was blessed with twenty-five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Ann Gilmore, parents Henry Joseph Gilmore and Margaret Mary Donovan Gilmore, siblings Paul Gilmore and Margaret Jones and grandchild Anthony Toth.

A celebration of life will be held on July 24, 2026 at Bongiovi Funeral Home, Friday, July 24, 2026 from 10 AM - 1 PM.
