Obituary of Raffaele Simonetti

Raritan, NJ – Raffaele "Fay" Simonetti, 88, died on February 2, 2016. She was born in Yonkers, NY on November 1, 1927 to her parents, Raffaele Raiola and Armando Aversa. Raffaele was a Sales Associate for Woolworth's in Somerville, a Ladies Auxillary Member of the Raritan Rescue Squad in Raritan, and a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Raritan. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Raffaele was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Raffaele is survived by her loving children, Dominic Simonetti of Raritan and Lisa Simonetti of Garden Grove, CA; her dear sister, Mary (Vito) Cannito; and two wonderful grandchildren, Stephanie and Vincent; her loving sister-in-law, Josephine (Stephen) Forktus; and her dear friends, Dottie and her daughter, Andrea Opilla. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent P. Simonetti (January 20, 2015); her parents; a daughter, Arlene Marie Young (July, 2011); a sister, Lucie Aversa; her twin brother, Fred Aversa; and her brother Frank Aversa.
