Obituary of Michael John Rozembajgier

Michael John Rozembajgier Somerset, NJ Michael John Rozembajgier, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend died on April 19, 2018 at the age of 80 years. He was born March 7, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey to his beloved mother and father, Irene (Dutkiewicz) and John Rozembajgier. Michael served in the United States Navy and then was employed by Wakefern Food Corporation for more than 30 years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 257, Clark Township German Club, as well as volunteering to bring joy, love, and smiles to young and old as he portrayed Santa to many. He was predeceased in death by his beloved wife Joann Opalka Rozembajgier. He is survived by his loving wife, Isolde "Ise" Mayr Rozembajgier; brother, Henry (Barbara) Rozembajgier; sister, Mary Matko; and brother-in-law, John (Helen) Opalka. Children: Michele (Matt) Reid, Michael John (Rose) Rozembajgier, Rev. Fr. John Michael Rozembajgier, Sheryll (David) Sorensen, Linda (Steven) Monetti, Janette (Bob) Egger, Richard (Sylvia) Mayr, Renee (John) DiNizio; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 from 4-8pm at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11am at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick, NJ In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association 1031 US-22 #203, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
