Rolande Fox, 89, of Phillipsburg, died peacefully on April 14, 2018. She was born on December 29, 1928 in Biddeford, ME to her dear parents Carmeline (Lambert) and Alphonse Dorais. She worked at Ortho for 17 years as a kitchen supervisor and was a great cook. Rolande loved needlecraft and was an excellent and talented seamstress, as she handmade all the wedding gowns for her daughters and their bridesmaids. She was kind, caring and generous, always giving to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and loyal friend and will truly be missed by all that knew her. Rolande is survived by her loving children, Alfred (Pat) Fox, Paul (Donna) Fox, Charles (fiancé Debbie) Fox, David (fiancé Denise) Fox, Wayne Fox, Rolande (James) Smith, Patricia (Walter) Carson, Nancy (Peter) Izzo, Donna (Steve) Daku, and Linda (James) Blessé, 15 cherished grandchildren, and 13 adored great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and her beloved husband, Alfred T. Fox (1982). A Celebration of Rolande's life is planned for Saturday, June 2, 2018, 10:00-12:00pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908) 725-1887. Burial is private. The family requests that donations in Rolande's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.bongiovifuneralhome.com.
