Branchburg – Stephanie F. Wincek, 96, died November 22, 2016. She was born on February 6, 1920 in Perth Amboy to her late parents Helen and Roman Sobiewski. During WWII, Stephanie's extreme dedication lead to her participation in the Women's Army Corp in Texas. She worked as an overwrap technician at Ethicon for over 20 years. She loved to cook and sew, and devoted a lot of her time to the Heart Association and Cancer Society. Stephanie was very religious and dedicated to her faith. She was a Rosarian at St. Mary's (Bound Brook) and Holy Trinity Churches (Bridgewater). She is survived by her loving son Adolph "Skip" Wincek, Jr., and cherished nieces and nephews: Marsha (Dennis) Proto, Gary Sobiewski, Dennis Sobiewski, and Longin Sobiewski. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Adolph Wincek (1992), her brother, Albert, and sisters and their husbands: Manya (John) Panko and Jessie (William) Vash. A viewing will be held Monday, November 28, 2016, 10:00-11:00am at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908) 725-1887 with a Prayer Service at 11:00am.
